OUR STORY

Housed at Portland State University,
we are one of Oregon's oldest accelerators.

In 2007, we've helped grow 100s of companies including unicorns like Jama Software, Absci, and ESS. 20 years later and under new leadership, we are now focused on a new way to Let Knowledge Serve. We focus on the middle ground between mom-and-pop shops and VC-fueled startups aiming for a billion dollars or bust. We're for anyone who wants to scale up fast and make a big splash without sacrificing their values—and ideally, have some fun and enjoy their life while they do it. We'll work with anyone. Startups, non-profits, governments, and creators all welcome.

PSBA companies are on a mission to bring game-changing innovations to market faster, bigger and bolder. The PSBA provides turnkey access to private and co-working office space and an impressive roster of mentors.

The secret sauce? Connectivity with PSU research, students, and community — home to promising local startups including spinouts from all major Oregon research universities.

Our team

We are ran by a ragtag team of builders and storytellers led by Arsh.

Arsh is a serial founder who runs a VC-backed startup, PSU's accelerator and VC fund, and manages an SBIR-focused university spinout program for the National Institutes of Health.

They are a queer, mentally ill person of color who has helped raise $200M for startups, VCs, and non-profits, and hopes to write a new playbook on how to quickly scale without running your wellbeing into the ground.
